Why Visit Goa?

Goa splits broadly into two coasts: North Goa, home to the busier beaches of Baga, Calangute and Anjuna along with most of the nightlife and water sports; and South Goa, generally quieter, with beaches like Colva and Palolem and a slower pace. Panaji (Panjim), the state capital, and Old Goa's Portuguese-era churches — including the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site — add a heritage layer beyond the coastline. Most Ghumega India packages are built around a hotel base in North or South Goa with sightseeing covering both.

Best Time to Visit Goa

November–February is peak season — cool, dry weather and calm seas, best for beach time and water sports. March–May gets progressively hotter and more humid. June–September is monsoon season — lush and green, with lower hotel rates, but rough seas mean many water-sports operators pause and some beach shacks close.

How Many Days Are Enough?

Goa's packages below are built around 3 nights/4 days, which is enough time to settle into one coast, cover the main beaches and fit in a day of sightseeing or water sports. Travellers wanting to cover both North and South Goa in depth, or add day trips to spice plantations or river cruises, sometimes extend to 5–6 nights — ask your travel expert to customise.

How to Reach Goa

Goa is served by Dabolim (Goa International) and the newer Manohar International Airport at Mopa, both with direct flights from most major Indian cities — several of the packages below are available as flight-inclusive. By rail, the Konkan Railway connects Goa to Mumbai and further south to Kerala; overnight buses from Mumbai and Pune are also common.

Goa Trip FAQs

What's the difference between the hotel-category packages?
The 2-star, 3-star, 3-star deluxe and 4-star packages above are the same 3 nights/4 days Goa itinerary at different hotel categories — ask your travel expert which suits your budget.
Are flights included?
The flight-inclusive package above bundles return flights; other packages are typically land-only — confirm inclusions with your travel expert before booking.
North Goa or South Goa — which should I pick?
North Goa suits travellers wanting nightlife and water sports; South Goa suits those wanting a quieter, more relaxed stay. Some itineraries cover sightseeing across both.
Is Goa good to visit in the monsoon?
Goa is lush and less crowded in the June–September monsoon, though rough seas mean water sports are limited and some beach shacks close for the season.
